Exam deferment conditions

Exam deferment conditions

By clicking on the "Accept" button below, you state that you have read, understood and accepted all the relevant conditions outlined below.

An examination may be deferred until the next study period in which the unit is offered, provided all other assessment components have been completed for the unit in question. A deferred examination/assessment result will be recorded temporarily until completion of the unit. An examination may be deferred once only.

A letter, email or fax requesting deferment must be forwarded to Open Universities Australia Administration and will be accepted until the last day of the study period. An administration fee of $60.00 per unit must accompany your application. Payment can be made by Visa, Mastercard, or by cheque or money order payable to Monash University.

Processing of your application starts as soon as payment has been receipted.

If you are unable to sit your examination due to illness or some other extenuating circumstances, you should contact Open Universities Australia Administration on (03) 9902 6735 or (03) 5122 6735 (or have someone do this for you) within 48 hours of the examination. You will be required to write a letter including supporting documentation, so that alternative arrangements can be made for you. This will normally be in the form of a Deferred Examination.

Note: Not knowing the examination date or confusing the dates is not an extenuating circumstance.
